Movement Diagram: An automatic system constitutes working elements and control elements.
In order to understand what is to be done, it is better to show the sequence of operation of various elements in the form of graph known as movement diagram.
There are two types of movement diagram.
– Motion diagram
– Control diagram.
Motion diagram: are the graphical representations of all the conditions of working elements (Pneumatic drive elements).
Control diagram: are the graphical representations about the control elements. Motion diagram:
— Position step diagram: It is used to represent movement of pneumatic drive elements.
Y axis-position, speed
X axis-step or time.
Time displacement diagram or
Position time Diagram: In this cylinder positions are plotted with respect to time. In position time diagram, overlaps and operating speed can be better shown. With this diagram position of cylinder at any instant may be determined.
